FAQ

What does it mean if I test positive?

Call 8-1-1 for Healthline to direct you to the nearest PCR testing site.

If you have tested preliminary positive for COVID-19, you will be advised to follow your provinces current restrictions. This will involve isolating and contacting 811. They will then provide instructions based on the most up to date information and you may require a PCR test to be conducted by Provincial Health Authorities.

A rapid test is a cost-effective tool for detecting COVID-19, however, it is not a diagnosis of the virus. Testing “Preliminary Positive” for COVID-19 means you are considered positive until a PCR Lab test is conducted by Provincial Health Authorities. Only a PCR Test can provide a diagnosis for COVID-19.
